We are located near ‘The Fingerpost Roundabout’ in Douglas. This is the roundabout at the start of Rochestown Road, the bottom of Maryborough Hill, where the Carrigaline Road enters Douglas. It has a large historic wooden signpost in the centre headed ‘The Fingerpost’.
The Animal Care Hospital is a blue single story building situated on a one-way street 50 metres on your right before reaching The Fingerpost Roundabout as you approach from the Douglas Village side.

There is ample free parking on the street outside the hospital and at the roundabout.

FROM THE SOUTH-LINK COMING FROM THE KINSALE ROAD ROUNDABOUT
Take the second exit after the Kinsale Road Roundabout signposted Douglas East.
Follow the slip road staying in the right lane and turn right at the traffic lights.
Go under the ring-road bridge and travel 50 metres to the next set of lights staying in the right lane.
Turn right into the village and go straight through the village and next set of lights, past Barry’s Pub (on your right) and up the one-way street towards ‘The Fingerpost Roundabout’.
The Animal Care Hospital is 50 metres before the roundabout on your right.
FROM CARRIGALINE: OPTION 1
As you approach Douglas from Carrigaline you come down Carrs Hill to a stop sign 100 metres before ‘The Fingerpost’ Roundabout..
At this sign turn left down Carrigaline Road (one-way street), as far as Barry’s Pub.
Turn a sharp right down E Douglas Street (one-way street) towards ‘The Fingerpost’ Roundabout.
The Animal Care Hospital is 50 metres before the roundabout on your right.
FROM CARRIGALINE: OPTION 2
Come all the way down Carrs Hill to ‘The Fingerpost’ Roundabout and you can either park there (at the closed off exit) and walk 50 metres to the Animal Care Hospital; or
Drive straight through the roundabout and take the first exit then the next left towards the east village.
Take the first left and the next left coming back towards ‘The Fingerpost’ Roundabout.
The Animal Care Hospital is 50 metres before the roundabout on your right.
FROM THE JACK LYNCH TUNNEL/ROCHESTOWN ROAD
After coming through the tunnel take the second exit on your left signposted Carrigaline and The Ferry (the first exit is to Mahon Point Shopping Centre)
Stay in the left lane and after 200 metres take the first exit signposted Rochestown.
Take the right lane of the slip road and turn right at the roundabout.
Go under the Ring Road and straight up the Rochestown Road, past the Rochestown Park Hotel up to the ‘Fingerpost Roundabout’.
It is often possible to park at the closed exit of the roundabout. Alternatively turn right at the roundabout and then take the next three left turns which will bring you back to E Douglas Rd and ‘The Fingerpost’ Roundabout.
